DESIGN CHALLENGE
Design an engaging and cohesive event identity across media that announces our 2024 Senior Show. It must celebrate the Visual Arts and Graphic Design senior capstone work and experiences. The design must clearly inform, create a call to action, and capture the spirit of PLNU and its graduates.
SOLUTION
“CMYK Ya Later” is a playful phrase my friends and I came up with in class, blending the CMYK and RGB color models we use daily as designers with a fun nod to graduation. For this campaign, I aimed to creatively represent the graduating graphic design and visual art classes. Using a fisheye lens, I captured each student for a bold, dynamic look, then halftoned the images with cyan and yellow tones for cohesion. To add a personal touch, I incorporated each student’s handwritten name, making the poster more intimate and unique.
